VidaCure Pharmacy joins OWWA in opening the Alagang OWWA Botika, expanding affordable healthcare access and welfare support for OFWs and seafarers.
The Alagang OWWA Botika, powered by VidaCure Pharmacy, officially opened in the OWWA Seafarers’ Welfare Center located at Monarch Parksuites, J.W. Diokno Blvd., Aseana Business Park, Parañaque City. The event, led by the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), marks another important step in strengthening support systems for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), especially our hardworking seafarers.
OFWs are known as modern-day heroes. Their sacrifices fuel not only their families’ dreams but also the country’s economy. Recognizing their invaluable contributions, OWWA continues to expand programs that focus on welfare, protection, and overall well-being. One of the key initiatives highlighted during the event was the implementation of the YAKAP Program.
The YAKAP Program aims to provide accessible assistance and services to OFWs and their families. “Yakap” symbolizes care, support, and security — a reminder that Filipino workers abroad are never alone. Through this program, essential services such as healthcare access, guidance, and welfare support become more reachable and organized.
VidaCure Pharmacy is honored to support this meaningful initiative. As a trusted provider of affordable medicines in the Philippines, VidaCure believes that healthcare should always be accessible, especially to families who depend on the sacrifices of their loved ones working overseas. Our participation in this milestone event reflects our shared commitment with OWWA: to protect, assist, and uplift OFWs.
Healthcare is one of the most important needs of every Filipino family. Many OFWs work tirelessly abroad to ensure their loved ones can afford medicines, consultations, and proper treatment when needed. By partnering with programs like YAKAP, VidaCure helps strengthen the bridge between hardworking Filipinos and reliable healthcare support back home.
The opening of the Seafarers’ Welfare Center at Aseana Business Park also provides a dedicated space where seafarers can seek assistance, process concerns, and access services more efficiently. This development underscores the government’s ongoing commitment to prioritizing the welfare of Filipino workers in the maritime industry.
For VidaCure Pharmacy, this event is more than just a partnership opportunity — it is a reminder of our mission. We are here to make healthcare simple, accessible, and dependable for every Filipino family. Through affordable medicines, reliable service, and community partnerships, we continue to support initiatives that put people first.
As the YAKAP Program rolls out, VidaCure stands ready to contribute in ways that truly matter. Because at the heart of every program, every service, and every partnership is one goal: to take care of the people who take care of us.
Together with OWWA, we move forward in building a healthier, stronger community for our OFWs and their families.
